If you weren’t able to make it out to our birthday party, that’s cool, we’ve got all 3 dj sets and EyeASage’s live performance recorded and ready for your listening pleasure. The mixes are amazing and I definitely suggest downloading, with the ladies on deck you can’t go wrong. You can download the sets here:
Deeandroid, Celskiii, EyeASage, and DJ Zita.

M.I.S.S. Crew’s very own Catzie Vilayphonh has a column on two.one.five Magazine called Catz Out The Bag, where she interviews people and the current feature is on M.I.S.S. Crew founders Liz Baca and moi. Read the full interview here!
Today is the last day of March, Women’s History Month, and you may recall that on M.I.S.S. Crew we’ve been featuring ladies who are making moves in their respective industries. For the last day of March, Liz and I, the founders of M.I.S.S. Crew, decided to give you the back-story to how it all came about. You can read the full feature here!
I’ve written some pieces recently for M.I.S.S. Crew on “how to” do some fun and exciting things. This week I detailed how to make Italian tomato sauce and “homemade” spinach ricotta ravioli in Mama’s Kitchen.
I also detailed how to “glide” in stilettos in my Always a Lady column.
Happy How To! If you have any requests feel free to leave a comment and let me know.
March is Women’s History Month and you know that at Mama we like to celebrate the achievements of women past, present and future. You may remember that last year I covered many different inspiring ladies throughout the month of March. I think it’s really important to understand what the women before us had to go through to really appreciate where we are today. Our mothers and grandmothers did not have all of the opportunities that we take for granted. Hell, women have had the right to vote FOR LESS THAN ONE HUNDRED YEARS. So, yes, I take WHM seriously as a time to reflect on what our foremothers have done to get us where we are now. If you missed it last year be sure to check out the 2007 March Archive.
This year, I’ve decided to honor Women’s History Month on my side-project, M.I.S.S. Crew. I wanted to take a different approach from last year. Rather than go through history, I wanted to highlight and feature women today doing amazing things in their respective fields. Please visit M.I.S.S. Crew where each day we’ll be featuring amazing talented and creative women. First up Toofly - check it out here.
